giving and receiving
After a few gray rainy days, the sun is back today in NYC. It's chilly, so I'm enjoying the new cashmere scarf-hat-gloves set that I gifted myself. I'm a big fan of treating myself as often as possible. I also love gift-giving. If I find something special, I purchase a few extra so I can give them to friends. I love giving little gifts, just because!
This year I gifted chocolates, many Lunar New Year charms, some of my ceramics, and artwork from two of my gifted Mindful Design graduates. When I make purchases, I not only try to offer gifts that I love myself, but think about who I'm supporting. In addition, this year I did something new - I re-gifted books to my nieces and nephew. I wanted to model for them that gifts don't need to be βnewβ.
